Still stuck in Iraq …

Well, I had a bit of excitment earlier this week. For about two days at least, it looked like I might be heading back home to Hawaii pretty near to my orginal August return date (I’ve been here 6 months).

Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be.

So, I’m still going to be here until at least the beginning of October. I definitely miss my family. But on the bright side, I’m in a relatively safe location, the food’s good, we’ve got a nice gym, and I’ve got plenty of free to time to catch up on my reading.

… even so, if anybody has any good tips for making 60 days go by as quickly as possible, please don’t be shy about leaving me a comment.
