Somebody’s Been Doing Some Research on Building Related Backlinks

By todd • on April 2, 2008

lol, so I’m looking in my stats this morning, and one of the search terms used to find my site yesterday was:

“commentluv” +personal growth

Sure enough, one of my posts has a comment from somebody named Secrets of Success.

I think he didn’t realize though, that I use the LinkLove plugin in conjunction with CommuntLuv, so my comment links aren’t followed until someone has participated in the discussion a little bit.

That being said, it was a good useful comment. And I when clicked through to the link through to the blog, I liked it. So, I figured I’d give it a little bit of real link love … for instance, this post What’s Wrong With the Secret is pretty blunt and honest. From what I’ve read so far, I think I’ve found another blog to add to my feed reader.

Who knows, maybe he’ll come back and join the discussion here too, so that more of his links get followed in the future.

Keep havin FuN!
Todd

Hi Todd!

That’s pretty funny. I actually did find your blog using that search term! BUT, I didn’t do it for the incoming links.

The thing I like about the CommentLuv plugin is it brings real traffic in the form of people who are actually interested. They see the title of your last post, and they either want to know more - or they don’t.

And I didn’t ONLY comment on your post for that reason either. Just an fyi.

I actually had to pass quite a few uninteresting blogs on my search for good blogs with the CommentLuv plugin before I decided to stop and leave a comment here.

Thanks for mentioning me and giving out some link love anyway!

Oh yea, I know that you didn’t ONLY comment for a link … lol, I wouldn’t have linked to you if I thought that
;-)
I did subscribe to your blog … looking forward to reading your upcoming articles.
