Well, it turns out I under estimated the power and cable companies here in Hawaii. There were quite a few trees/branches, and power poles down around the Island. But here in Ewa Beach anyway, we had power by lunch time, and cable/internet just before dinner.
I went out and took a couple of pictures earlier …

Big puddle in front of the school.

Branch down in one of the neighbor’s yards.

Black and White of a worker cleaning debris from the beach.

Large tree that blew over down by the lagoon.

The power company putting up the new pole
Keep havin FuN!

p.s. I always try to look for the bright side of everything, and the good lesson I got out of this power outage was figuring out how to make a blog post via twitter, from my sidekick … a skill that may come in handy from time to time.

1What kind of storm was it?
Nice pictures, I used to work for Hawaii.com and have been to Oahu many times. Where was this?

3@Mike … thanks, I live in Iroquois Point, way down at the very end of Ewa Beach (why I spent over an hour in my car yesterday, but still never made it to work)
@Jesse … good stuff. As I said, I never made it up to work yesterday, so this is the first time I’m seeing these radar shots. thanks
