I’ve been “seriously” blogging here at Part-Time Networker for about a month now … the couple of months before that, (while I was in Iraq) I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, and basically just made random posts that almost nobody read. Over the past month, I’ve discovered something … Blogging is addictive.

I really like blogging. So much so, that I started a blog for my candle business. And, I even had plans for at least two more blogs … one where I could post some of my Hawaii pictures, and one that would make use of a domain name I bought a few years ago (joinmycompany.com) by soliciting guest posts from experienced networkers about their companies and their teams.

Then today, I had a couple of eye openers …

On the drive home from work today, I was (re)listening Mark Yarnell’s Holy Grail of Network Marketing CDs that I ordered a couple of weeks back. One point that Mark kept emphasizing over and over was his 6-3-2 rule for becoming a rich networker:

Do One Thing At A Time (6)
Do It Well (3)
Finish It (2)

Once I got home, I fired up my email real quick before dinner and near the top was notification that Bunk had left me a comment. I’d visited his blog yesterday. But of course I still clicked the link, and the first post on his blog was Why I Like More of Less.

Ah ha … I have a “theme” for the day!

This got me thinking about my plans for all these blogs; and all the time I’m already spending on this one. So I went back and did a little evaluation of the Candle Monkey blog. I really like the way it looks. But, the fact is I’ve only posted 4 articles, and 2 of those where very short announcements about our latest candle of the month. Add to that the fact that I’ve got a very nice company website, which I’ve successfully used for a couple of years now … and which I try to encourage the hundreds of people in my group to use … lol, what a hypocrite I am.

So …

Within the next couple of days, I’m going to take down that second blog, and just redirect the domain to my company site.

I’m also going to put the other two projects on the back burner (for now anyway).

This will allow me to do a couple of good things …

Have enough time to produce good quality posts, that will enable this blog to continue growing. While not neglecting the two things that made me a Successful part-time networker in the first place:

  1. Retailing Products
  2. Sponsoring New People into my Candle business

So, that’s my plan. Now the question …

How many blogs do you have? And more importantly, how many blogs do you think are Too Many for one person?

(lol, this would have been a great place for that poll plug-in I thought about installing).

Till next time … keep havin FuN!
Todd
