Do you have a dream board?
If you’re at all a fan of the The Law of Attraction, you probably already know what a powerful tool visualization can be.
… and one of the easiest ways to practice visualization is with a dream board.
I first learned about dream boards a couple of years ago when I read Charlie Umphred’s ebook “Mind Over What Matters in MLM”. In it, Charlie talks about using a cork board, and cutting out pictures of things you intend to have from magazines and catalogs. He gives some real life examples of ways that it’s worked for him.
Searching around the Internet, I found a few interesting ideas for creating your own dream board. I even found a very nice program that lets you create an electronic vision board right on your computer.
Update: If you want a dream board, I made a new post with Step by step directions for making an online dream board.
Of course if you’re more of a do-it-yourselfer (I am); and if you already know how to create a blog (which I expect many of you do), you might want to consider using WordPress to create your own personal online dream board. That’s what I did …
Just a couple of easy steps:
- I created a new directory in my webhosting account, and installed wordpress (very easy with Fantastico)
- Uploaded a simple but attractive theme … I used Mandigno for mine.
- Made 3 categories. Daily, Inspirational, and Visual. Then started posting to it every day
When I get up in the morning, I make a quick post about what I’m thankful for, what I like about myself, and what my goals/intentions are. Then I make sure I go back and read it again several times during the day.
If I’m surfing the Internet, or Blogs and I find something inspirational, I simply paste it right into a new post. Same thing when I find a good picture that really says something to me. Here’s an example from a post I made a couple of months ago:

So, do you have a dream board? … and if not, are you planning to make one?
Hope you found this helpful,
Todd

Todd,
This is so strange. Almost a year ago my best friend and I bought big ole poster boards with the intension of making vision boards. We just never did anything with them. Not five hours ago I was telling her that I ought to get mine out and start cutting up some magazines and putting my vision board together.
And then I found your post.
I am on the computer all the time and I love blogging. I will be so much more likely to interact with a digital dream board than I ever would with a piece of cardboard and some magazine scraps. I can’t thank you enough for sparking me into action and bringing it all together for me.
Sara
P.S. I just found your blog this evening and I am really enjoying it. I’ll be back soon. =)

Hi Sara,
I’m glad you found my post helpful. Cutting up magazines is fun … but, I realized that I’m much more likely to copy/paste and blog if I really want to keep up with a dream board.
As for coming back, I’m looking forward to it … I always enjoy meeting like-minded bloggers … I think I’ve been to your blog a time or two in the past, but now that I’ve properly “met” you, I’ll be sure to poke around a bit deeper and try to leave a comment or two.
Catch up with you again soon,
Todd

I’ve found the coolest and most effective tool to help with the visualization process ….Thanks.
Eric
Todd says: Hi Eric. I like the Mind Movies program. (I’ll most likely purchase it).
I do appreciate you sharing it with us. Unfortunately, your comment was blatant Spam … I found the EXACT same comment on at least 3 other blogs.
In the future, if you’d like to join (and add to) the conversation, I’ll be more than happy to leave your links … in fact I’ve been known to promote my friends elsewhere on the blog. BUT, if you can’t even be bothered to write an original comment on each blog you visit … I don’t feel at all obligated to leave your links on my post.
Thanks,
Keep havin FuN!
