This is post I made over on my group’s message board. I wanted to post it here too, as I think it may have some lessons that would be applicable to many part-time networkers … no matter what company you may be with

Hi Team,

I confess, I’m doing “relatively well” with our little candle company. However, my business hasn’t grown as fast over the past 2 years as it could have …I put most of the “blame” squarely where it belongs … on the guy staring back at me in the mirror each morning.

However, I also realized that I’ve lived overseas for most of the past two years (first in Korea, and now in Iraq). What’s been “missing” for me, is the opportunity to interact with real live people in my local community.Don’t get me wrong, I like marketing on the Internet … to be honest, that’s probably how I met most of the people in my group. But, I also know from early experience that there is no better way to Motivate Yourself, and to build up your Beliefs (both necessary components if you intend to become the leader of a large group), than to personally make a few product sales.

Doesn’t matter whether you’re brand new, or have been doing this for 5 years … selling product will pump you up, and help you to believe in yourself … and will therefore make you much more attractive/magenetic to those who are looking for ways to earn extra income…. in other words, retailing WILL improve sponsoring (even if through indirect means).

I can’t begin to tell you how much I’m looking forward to getting home (mainly because I miss my family of course) … but also, because I can’t wait to pass out some scented business cards, blanket the neighborhood with door hangers, and straight up ask people to stick their nose in my business.

I’m intensely jealous of all of you who have this opportunity TODAY

…. and I’m a little sad for those of you who aren’t taking advantage of it.

Keep havin FuN!
Todd
